We will be focusing on flat work and dressage, specifically to help those who are competing in the Inter-School Challenge and want to practice their dressage test. PRIORITY FOR PLACES WILL BE GIVEN TO MEMBERS WHO ARE COMPETING IN THE INTER SCHOOL COMPETION (eihter Higher or Lower Division) CAMP INFORMATION Camp will start at approximately 9am and finish at 5pm on Day 1-2. Day 3 is competition day and will finish at midday. The competition will be followed by a Prize Giving and will finish at around 12.30pm. Activities: Each child will be have their own horse/pony with them for the whole of camp. They will ride in groups of up to 6 twice a day on Day 1 and 2. They will also be able to have a go at vaulting, which is basically gymnastics on horseback and is great fun. One of the very important parts of camp is learning how to look after the ponies. The Pony Club very much encourages mentorship and we love having the older more experienced members look after and help the younger, less experienced campers. This is a very important part of being a Pony Club member and having the opportunity There will also be non stable activities such as horsey arts and crafts. Food: On Day 1 campers are asked to bring a packed lunch, Day 2 we order in Pizzas, and on Day 3 there will be no lunch but parents are very welcome to bring a picnic. Throughout camp there will be water and squash available, as well as unlimited fruit and snacks. On the final day we ask parents to please bring a salad or dessert, the HKPC will provide all burgers, hot dogs, condiments etc.
Volunteers: As you know, these camps cannot run without the help from volunteers. If you are free we would really appreciate your help.
